Due to continuous heavy rainfall in Chennai and Tiruvallur districts of Tamil Nadu, a holiday has been declared for all schools on November 15. The heavy rainfall is a result of a low-pressure area formed over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Nicobar Islands. The Chennai Regional Metrology Department has predicted heavy rainfall for various districts in Tamil Nadu for the next four days.
